Day 5 in China

Last night Makenna slept for 12 hours. She is a very good baby she like to sit and play with her toys. She takes a nap for around two hours. She still takes her bottle three times a day. She eats other foods also. She is letting Dana hold her a little more. We are getting ready to go get her passport and go to a shopping center. She is still very shy and you can see in the pictures she holdes her arm over her eyes when she is being shy. She is the sweetest baby she can walk a little but is very unsteady. We are so ready to come home and see everyone. The people here are so nice and friendly. I will post more later.

Official adoption day

Today we went to the adoption registry office and took our family photo, talked with the notary and signed the final adoption papers. Makenna Lin Yan Dancy is officially ours. It is very amazing watching this little girl become more comfortable with us or should I say with me. Everytime Dana gets close to her she starts to cry and push him away. She only wants to play with me and will only let me feed her. Pray that she will start letting Dana get close to her she is so sweet and he wants to hold her so bad. The other family with us there little girl is also clinging to the Mom. She is smiling and laughing and watches every move we make.

Today was so great we went to the adoption registry office to pick up the babies. There was about 30 other families there. We were first to receive our baby she is really shy and was not sure what was going on. They handed her to me and she began to cry and the she was screaming it broke our hearts to know that she is very scared and grieving. We got to talk to her nanny and could tell that she loved her very much. She is not as big as she looks she has 5 teeth and another one is coming in. When we got back to the room we changed her clothes and laid her on the bed and fed her some gerber puffs. I had to go do paperwork in our guides room and while I was gone she fell asleep. She is very shy with Dana and want let him hold her very much. Josh and Kayla I wish you were here with us. Love Mom and Dad
