Look who's Sweet Sixteen

Kayla turned 16 (did I just type that)where has time gone I am not sure one minute she was starting school and now she will start driving a car soon. She has not taken Driver Ed yet which I am very happy about. On Saturday we celebrated with her favorite ribs and shrimp. Tonight we celebrated with cake and ice cream.

Makenna's first day of school

On Wednesday Makenna started going to preschool at a local church. She was very unsure all morning getting ready to go. On the way I called her Daddy and told him to start praying cause if she cried I didn't think I could leave her. I will just say prayers worked their were no tears... Makenna came home from school saying she quit I told her she could not quit preschool she needed to have some friends to play with. Friday she was excited we I told her we were going back to school she is just upset that she can't ride the big yellow bus..

Fort Fisher aquarium

We went to the aquarium for the first time and it was such a great time. Makenna really loves sea creatures and is so excited looking at them for hours I think her favorite is the turtles. Kayla took the pictures and enjoyed herself.

Our vacation was wonderful

Let's just say our vacation started off on the bad side after a trip to the NC Aquarium which was a great visit and Kayla and Makenna really enjoyed all the sea creatures. Then off to Myrtle beach we headed to get checked in the resort we booked online. When we drove up my stomach started doing turns as soon as a saw the first pool and it was very dirty and that was from afar. Then we ask to see our room and I wanted to start crying our room was so dirty and lets say we shut the door and ran real fast before the bugs started chasing us. We went back to the front desk and asked about the room on their website and they agreed their were no rooms that looked like the one on the web. After an hour they finally decided to give us a full refund and we were on our way to find a new place to stay. The kids were starving and so was we so we went for dinner first and the after checking five different resorts we found one that could accomodate our family and our friends. The rest of the wek was great..

Happy Family Day

I can't believe it has been two years since Makenna joined our family. Last year she aid her favorite place was the beach so we planned a beach trip for this special day. We thank God for giving us such a precious gift and entrusting us. We celebrated with gifts and cupcakes.

The swingset has Boo boo..

Our new swingset was taken out by a strong storm last week Malenna was very sad and kept saying it had boo boos. Dana had to try and fix it with some of the left over wood. Glad to say it is all better.
