Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving day was not what we had planned three of us were not feeling well. Makenna is cutting four teeth. After our pancake breakfast and morning naps we decided we needed to find some Turkey. Lunch was good not as good as eating at Maw-maw's. Makenna had her first ice cream cone. Then we went to the video store and rented a few Christmas dvds. Every year we always go to the movies to see the newest Christmas movie for the year. This year Makenna is a little too young for that. We finally came home and lounged on the couch and enjoyed each other. Our family is very blessed and we are thankful that God gave us this precious little girl.

Christmas parade

On Tuesday we took Makenna to her first Christmas parade. We had lot's of fun with some friends. Kayla danced in the parade and did a great job. We had a great time.

Happy Birthday Joshua

Josh celebrated his 17th birthday on Thursday, We had his favorite cake and his favorite food McDonald's. Makenna had her first piece of cake and enjoyed it. I can't believe that my baby is seventeen.

Makenna's first Halloween

Halloween was very fun and exciting Makenna really enjoyed trick-or-treating and going to the church fall festival. She reaaly didn't care much about the candy but she was sure a cutie. She loved carving pumpkins and Halloween decorations. Makenna really loves her cousins Noah and Payten.

Makenna and Josh enjoying bath time

Makenna loves for Josh to spray water in her face. She opens her mouth and drinks the water. Josh loves to make her laugh.

November is national adoption month

This is one of my favorite poems hope you enjoy.

Every call has a beginning A quiet moment when God whispers a promise to a mother’s heart A holy place where a father bows and faithfully accepts the journey set before him. A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns…Casting its first light on a chosen threshold. A gentle knock..a closed door opens. A sacred invitation sent by the Father..Leads to the other side of the world. Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows Praying for someone to care.. And then one morning, On an ordinary day An orphan’s life changes...God sends them a second chance...Through you..
